Saw it last night on a date with my wife. Loved it! What did you think of the movie? I would like to see it again.

My wife and I saw it awhile back and thought it was real good also. Johnny Depp did a great job as Capt. Jack. We also would like to see it again.

Awesome movie. Great fun. I mean, can you think of a better premise for a movie than pirates and zombies?

I'm sorry guys, I have to disagree. I couldn't stand that movie. Depp's accent drove me nuts. That drunk/stoned swagger was just plain stupid. In fact, I almost walked out. The only reason I didn't was my wife and I went to see in the afternoon on one of those 95 degree days a while back, and I was enjoying the AC.

My girlfriend and I saw it about a week after it came out. We both thought it was an excellent movie! I'd even pay to see it again! Johnny Depp did an awesome job in that movie! I give it an A

I think the swagger and the bad breath in your face confidence made the movie too. It was meant to be a little creapy and silly at the same time. Depp gets some strange roles and makes them turn out to be excellent movies. Edward Sissors Hands for example was very entertaining. so was Benny and June. As for Pirates, Depp was the man.

Bernie,
I totally agree with you, Depp is a phenominal actor. I loved Edward Scissorhands and I also loved the one he did recently based on Jack the Ripper (don't recall the name) but after what I have read and heard about him lately. I wouldn't waste my time or money on that guy.

Tanner, I think the movie title you're looking for was "From Hell." I think that was the story of Jack the Ripper with Johnny Depp and Heather Graham. Could be wrong though....

My two sons have seen it and said it was a great movie, and that Johnny Depp did an outstanding job.

I'm anxious to see for myself. Don't know anything about Depp's personal life, but have thoroughly enjoyed his acting in several movies.

Saw it with my daughter, we both loved it. My only complaint is that the ending fight scene was about 10 minutes too long.

Even though Depp used a bit too much eye liner... I loved the movie.

Did you catch that Depp was using Kieth Richards, of the Rolling Stones, as his model of how to play the characture?

I can't wait for the sequel

Pirates of the Caribbean 2

The movie was entertaining and the theater air conditioning was great. I thought the old pirate captain played by Geoffrey Rush was really done very well. The ending could have been a bit better. Orlando Bloom is cute (according to my wife that is), but I will enjoy him better with the Elf ears in the third installment of the Lord of the Rings!

I loved it, thought it was Depps' best role since Edward Scissorhands. Comic violence, no bloody stuff but creepy well done special effects.

Depp is a very talented actor. I go to see a movie for the story, excitement and to see good acting and Depp usually delivers.

I leave my political beliefs at the theater door.

That was a good movie. I loved the sound they used for the pistols! Sure beats the cap guns used in Bad Boys II. Heard one person comment that pistols aren't really that load in real life...

Depps never impressed me much. I cant seem to get his 21 jump street character out of my head. He always seems detached in all his roles. Ill wait and rent it.

Dan,

He plays this one with a kind of campy detachment as well. I thought it worked well. It'll be a fine video, but the big screen is better for some of the scene work.

Best gunfight scene in a western in a long time. This was a classic movie western and I'm glad to see Costner have a good script for once.

I want to go see it, but since the kids are voting to see "Good Dog" on Friday.. it will probably have to wait. Maybe I could take them anyway, Pirates and Zombies.. sounds really Halloweenie to me!

Counting down until "Return of the King" is out for the holidays! That is the 3rd installment of the Lord of the Rings series!

Just saw Pirates of the Caribbian today, and thought it was quite entertaining. Did anybody else stay through the credits for the final scene? We were the only people in the theatre today that did, and the only reason I knew about it was because I heard about it on a radio review.

If you did see the scene after the credits, do you think it was intended to leave the door open for a sequel?

Should I post what happened?

If you see this movie, you MUST stay to the very end and you will see a hint about the the next movie. Like WMB, we also were the only one's left to see it. I'm surprised more people don't know about it.

I think they left the movie open to a sequel without seeing the clip at the end. It was very entertaining. I laughed and my kids giggled all the way thru. Nothing like hearing your kids laugh!

I saw the movie last night and enjoyed it - very entertaining. Think that Johnny Depp did an excellent job with his role.

Stayed to see the final clip after the long lists of credits - we were the only ones left in the seating area. One can only guess that if they bothered to add it there must be a sequel - so the monkey grabs a medalion to keep the curse alive,.....Captain Sparrow and his crew on the Black Pearl return to the treasures, and.....
