Just sent an email to Steve King asking for the details of yesterday's test fishery. I really wish they would include that info in the action notice.

Steve King is retired...try Tony Nigro or Steve Williams...

six boats, 22 drifts, 10 fish, eight hatchery, 14 steelhead (8H and 6W)...between Mayger (Willow Bar) and Svensen...most fish were around Cathlamet...none were upriver...all were revived and released...didn't ask for numbers on sea lion predation, but there was quite a bit...

8 hatchery fish is enough to get them started gill-netting? seems like a very small number.

why don't the netters just take there allotment from the fish as they pass by the viewing windows at the dams?

that solution should result in 0 % mortality of wild fish.

I am under the impression they get "X" amount of fish.....if they dont get them now, they get more dates until they get "their" fish....at least thats the way I understood it.
Hope I'm wrong,

Russ

If they don't get them now they probably will get a late March or April netting.
