Default On Board Charger Question

I purchased a duel bank on board charger for my duck boat. Do I have to run two batteries with it or can I just hook up one and leave a bank disconected?

You can just run one if you want. Won't hurt a thing.

I would check your owners manual. It will not be a problem to just charge one battery but I believe you will want to attach both set of leads to the same battery. Leaving leads loose I would think would be a problem.

You can leave one hanging, but you're better off connecting both sets to the battery- it will charge twice as fast.

The owners manual just shows a diagram of it hooked up to two batteries. It does not mention whether it needs to be hooked up to two batteries or can just be used on one. I bought a duel charger so I can run 2 batteries during the summer when using my trolling motor and radio, but while duck hunting I have no use for a second battery.
Thanks for your help, Dave
