Default leaf spring and equalizers?

I have a 10,500# triple axle trailer with leaf springs and equalizers. The trailer was new in 2004. Before I ever did any axle or leaf spring replacements (salt water issues), the equalizers were symmetrical in their position with the boat on it. Since replacing broken leaf springs and trailing axle, it's never been the same. The equalizers lean forward or aft and it just doesn't seem right. I spoke to a local trailer shop who said it's not a problem unless there a broken component which there is not.

I've been looking at various triple axle trailers, but all have been torsion axles. Anyone have the same issue with regards to the equalizers not looking equal on the trailer? If it's not a problem, then why do the equalizers not position themselves as before???

FYI, all parts are replacement parts from the OEM supplier. The tires are not wearing unevenely either.

ANy insights on this?

Default Re: leaf spring and equalizers?

we did my brothers dual axel travel trailer this summer, them buggers want to go wild when putting it back together, we had to lower it all down and I think we needed to take one end loose again then took a 7 foot bar to flip them around and aimed the right way then slowy jack it all up to position them, they wanted to go backwards without some help to get going the right way its a 2 guy job for sure.
