Default I want to pull my boat with this

I want to pull my boat with this Class B motorhome or one similar like Pleasure Way or Road Trek.

It seems like a heck of a way to go if you like to fish a lot of different places like I do. I've only spoken to one other fisherman that I met on the Cowlitz one day and he said that he liked it.

Do you have advice or stories for me about that kind of set-up?

I've done a lot of research and some dickering and have come away unhappy. The folks that I spoke to in Tacoma weren't interested in taking a non-motorhome in trade. I'm pretty lazy and don't want to go through any hassles with selling etc. Is that the case generally or do you know of dealers who will work with a purchaser to get him set up?

Any anecdotes or advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Looks like Trailer Boats Mag read your mind. Current issue that arrived yesterday (October)has a review/towing test of the Roadtrek 190 as a tow vehicle.

You should get a copy and check out their comments.

Don't try putting your boat in at the Golf Course on the NF Lewis in that. Without 4WD it will still be sitting there come high water this winter. Blub Blub.

corkyking: Could you keep us posted on your findings? My parents have a Road Trek 190 and have talked about selling it. I thought it might be good for us (no kids!). It's the Dodge chassis with the 318.

blubeast: I've never heard of Trailer Boats. Can you give a quick summary of their opinions?

Thanks.

John

I know a real estate agent who owns a Road Trek 190. It is his only vehicle. He's going to buy another one when it's time. I'm not stuck on a particular brand and I think I would like a 4x4 but the price for a new one seems too steep.

It seems that for the life style that we live here in the NW it could work out well. They seem to have all the amenities in a small package and it may be ideal for two people.
