HELP ???

O.K.,I've gone to my documents and open the folder with my pictures and there's no way I can change the file name or maybe I just don't know what your talking about(more then likely).The two times I managed to get the info filled out before it locked up it posted the i-fish url on the upper left hand corner of the upload page and thats all it did the picture is in computer land somewhere ?? it didn't show up below where all the others are but its in there someplace cus I tried to reload it again and it came back already uploaded to upload again change the name ???

dawhunt- if the path is too long it will sometimes hang as well. Try putting the pic in a location that is closer to the root directory (like cics/"whatever the pic is" ) instead of c:/windows/mydocs/mypics/fishing/"whatever the pic is".

The file size is what usually gets me but the path can do it as well.

More since your last post:
THe file and "name" below on the info page both get stamped even though the file doesn't actually transfer.

Not sure what you mean by can't change the file name. Right click on the pic file you want to load, choose "rename" and type in a name shorter than 7 characters. Choose a new "name" on the ifish upload page, make sure it's under 100k, shorten the path if you need to.

O.K. I managed to get the info on the form before it locked up it uploaded this file and put this in the upper left hand corner
file=c:\mydoucuments\bobs fishingfolder\pic003.jpg
then before I could do anything else the page locked up my computer ??? this is the only page that has ever done this to me it locks up before its fully loaded ??now this picture is in computer land somewhere ??? never to be seen again
but everyones already seen it anyway.I'm just trying to figure this thing out???

of the file did everything you said and there it is.Thank you all very much !!!.Its obivious I don't know much about computers but you guys really helped alot can't thank you enough.I still wonder why the upload page locks my computer up
I really have to scramble to fill out the upload form before it locks up,if I can then the upload works if not its locked up and nothing works ??
but I think for now I can work around that proplem

O.K. I've been trying to post a picture on this board for 5 days.The picture upload page keeps locking up my computer, when I get the chance
to fill out the form and upload (twice) in the upper left corner of the page is my URL but nothing else happens,I've copied that and pout it in the browse box again and hit upload again and still nothing happens.I've tried to reinstall or reupload and it says picture is already uploaded
well where is it ???? its not down below and why does the upload page keep locking up my computer ??I went to bob's board and had no trouble uploading my picture brought the url over her it uploaded but it didn't show up below where the others are and now I don't know were its at ???.I would just like to be able to post my own pictures and not have to bother others.

Bob,

Change the name of your file... the name needs to be 6 characters or less and the size of the file needs to be less than 100KB. My pics are always numbered like pic001 and so on... this should help!
