Default Redoing bottom of drifter

We are going to use COAT IT for the new bottom of our Hyde after hearing very good things about it. I was just wondering if any of you have had experience with COAT IT and how it worked out int his application?

Getting ready for a long fall and winter season fo chasing steel and chrome!

Many different threads on that subject. I suggest using the search functions and check them out.

gluv-it...

just take EVERYTHING out and don't forget to take the oar locks out. I leave my benches in just to support the side walls of the drifter when fliping over. Push it off the trailer onto the grass... flip over... Chip, wire wheel, wire brush and or scrape all the old stuff off... Apply 2 coats off new stuff! half day shade tree project!

BTW: I don't do this anymore!!!
My new Drifter has a UHMW bottom!

Coat - it is good stuff! Has a kelvar filler, great for resistance on the river's bottom and contract with your bottom, I have it on my aluminum boat, works best with many coats instead of just a couple, but it still works, I must have a least 6 coats on....

Thanks guys for your help. It went well and looks good. May need more than one coat though. This will work for now and we'll do another one later to give it more beef.
