Artistic Autobody (see Terry) paints a number of boats. The paint on almost all of the aluminum hulls is a standard automotive grade and can be shot by most auto body shops. The issue on your boat is whether it can fit into most paint booths.
i have an 80ft booth and do a lot of aluminum tubs....if it was my boat i would use industrial/marine grade materials, car paint is made for cars...PM sent

Reason: spell
kmk: generally zolatone (or like) is used where there might be a high incidence of chips/scratches/traffic. basically somewhere you really don't care about finish/shine too much. i have painted some big sleds where there is no differance at all from the interior to exterior...they usually just diamond plate or carpet said areas. WRF: just like with anything else there are many grades of product. You usually get what you pay for. I am fond of the marine grade/aircraft grade products but those have a limited color pallet and are generally more $$$$ so you better really love your boat to drop that kind of coin. Not to say any one boat is more deserving of high grade paint over another but i have taken my boats worth into consideration on a few of my past tubs. example...my 12 ft aluminum lake boat got some left over car paint and rattle canned...i wouldn't spend 300 bucks on aircraft materials since the boat was only dang near only worth that.

In a couple weeks we should have pics of another ifisher's drift boat im going to do soon.
Just keep in mind that there are VERY VERY few paint lines that will warranty their product below the water line. Most boats are a one weekend turn around.
