Default New DODGE TRUCKS

Any comments on the New Dodges? Is the Hemi all it is cracked up to be? Worth the money? Im looking into a new Dodge, and was wondering about your opinions. I usually am a Ford guy, and am not looking for a manufacturing SLAM FEST. THanks in advance,
Aaron

Funny, I just remarked on this on another post.
(I just clipped this from my other post)

"Well, I understand that everyone has there preferences. Mine is my 2003 Dodge Turbo Diesel Quad Cab.

Perhaps not for everyone, but I thought getting 18.5mpg on the way down, and 11.3mpg pulling the boat back was pretty good. Considering that for the first 100 miles the trailer brakes didn't work, and the truck stopped her fine...and that she chugged up the grapevine and the siskyous like nuthin', and well, that I did it myself and made it back... I'm a believer in this truck."

I don't know about the Hemi. I can say that I think the interior is nice, but has a little too much hard plastic. The new diesel is a LOT quieter than the old one, about 60%. I have 16k miles on this truck since February. I expect to put 200-300k on it in its lifetime.

I rented a new hemi-quad cab a month ago and was very impressed. Tons of power and very quiet. Love the sound of that motor too. Don't care much for the interior and seats. Kinda hard for my likinging. Milage was pretty good too 70mph I got 19mpg. not bad at all.

The new desiel is very quiet. Only had them in the shop and test drive after repairs. Seem pretty nice. Same deal on the interior as you would guess.

Still, I am a Ford man but the Dodge made me take a second look this year.

I have heard good things about the High output Cummings as well as the Hemi but I am a Ford guy.

if a rember right, the torque peak on the new (non)hemi is around 4000rpms....seems a little high for towing...but dang, that thing is supposed to put the regular cab 1500 into the 14s

My son has a hemi. Sound good lots of power, pulls my 24 foot boat just fine, 13.5 mpg. pulling boat, 15 mpg. without. His driving still scares me!
