Boat Deal??

Yesterday I looked at a boat in Bend Or,
It's 18 foot
150 force, prop
8 hp kicker
Came-o all over
No seats (none)
Inside has none skid, (like save a truck bed spray on linner)
Trailer looks good as the boat.
"O yea it's a consoul
Asking 8000.00
No Make on Boat.

What do you all think/worth while Yes/No.

$8000 to haul away the Force outboard, or did they mean for you to pay them?

I have never heard a good thing about Force outboards.

I had a Force 70 hp outboard on my last boat (17' Sylvan superselect). It started each time and ran flawlessly in all conditions. It sipped the fuel.

That being said, it was a **** . No power whatsoever. I was able to get a wakeboarder up if they know what they were doing, but not a skier.

Take it for what it's worth...

I saw that boat the other day (next to the apartments over by Costco, right?). If it's the same boat, my initial reaction would be NO WAY! That thing is worth closer to $2000 than $8000. Be patient and keep your eyes out. There are a lot of good boats that come up for sale here, but also look at Stevens Marine and Boat Trader. At least you'll get a better idea of the market.
