Default Beautiful day on my property only wish....

Saturday my wife and I went to out property to watch the sunset.

Background - We purchased 5 acres with a beautiful view of the Columbia about 4 years ago. We have had numerous frustrating delays that have kept us from being able to build and move there yet.

We were sitting in the truck looking at the sunset and I see a fawn walking down the hill to-wards us. It was old enough to no longer have spots but you could still tell it was this years fawn. I whispered to my wife to very slowly turn her head to the right. As she turns her head here comes mommy deer down the hill.

Mommy and fawn walked right in front of the truck down the hill to a level spot below us. After that we both sat there watching the sunset thinking, "I sure can't wait until we live here".

Darn I wish I had a camera. Oh well, hopefully there will be plenty of sunsets and opportunities to take pictures of the deer after we move there.

Just think of it this way, you have the memory to last you a lifetime... and if you'd had a camera, it probably wouldn't have happened the way it did. Always seems to be the case for me anyway

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">I've gone thru the rural home construction maze of acquiring permits, conducting aquifer & traffif studies, septic siting & permits, variance requests, property partitioning, lot line adjustment, right-of-way vacation, right-of-way access permits...etc, etc, etc....twice now. Don't give up...it can be a long, frustrating process but is well worth it in the end.
