Default Simon and Garfunkel back together

Saw them last night on Letterman. Definately not pretty faces but beautiful harmonies and great music....

I would get pumped about it, but my beta blockers and calcium channel blockers won't let me!

Who's warming up for them, the Mommas & Poppas????

Only joking,

I like them and actually have a greatist hits CD.
Damn, did I admit that. S

taring at my 41st birthday within the month and bringing up things like this makes me think the geritol is not far behind .

Saw them this morning doing "Scarborough Fair"
Sweet!!!! Some groups lose it over the years (CSN&Y) but not these guys. Like I said they're are not pretty faces but good music is timeless.
Mamas and Papas? I would love it but two of the four are deceased.
I guess that's why I like blues, jazz and classic rock/folk it survives the test of time and good music is good music no matter how old.
There is a lot of throw-away music out there today.

Hell ******,

I have a daughter that will be 20 in a month who is in her 2nd year of college.

My son is 16 to boot. I started young I guess but my wife has 6.5 years on me so she statistically robbed the cradle.

Hell, it is all good though. Fishing, camping, bird hunting.... the only thin I would change sometime is less time on that damn airplane but I still manage to support all my habits.

Simon & Garfunkel.... They are OK but I will definately take Pink Floyd any day as well as Waylon, Willie, David Allen Coe....

Heck, I am from Kentucky... where we have both kinds of music country & western....

They'll be in Portland Nov 2. You can buy floor seats for $189.25, 100 level for $138. Tickets go on sale this week I think.

I saw Paul Simon, oh 12 years ago, and it was a great show - I put it among my top 5 concerts of all time.

I think we're gonna have to go for the Garfunkel, tickets on sale Monday morning. OUCH.

CSN&Y haven't exactly "lost it" either, though their voices are fizzling out (esp. Stills) - I paid 100-some bucks for that show and had my money's worth halfway through the second song ("Southern Man"). Nobody rocks like NEIL!

Yes, too much money for a mere re-hash of 60's folk tunes in my opinion. I saw their press conference and they didn't sound that good. Paul looked bored. I think they are in it for the money. They'll have to get along somehow without mine.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">EACH?!?!? Holy sweet mother of all crap!! Or is that per pair, including the defibrilator rental fee?

I would never pay that much money for a concert. I prefer the small venues anyway. Give me a good Willie Porter (great acoustic blues music...concerts are not to be missed, and very affordable) concert at the Aladin any day!

Saw Willie Porter at the Roseland with the Blind Boys of Alabama and Delbert McClinton last year. He was pretty good.

Great vocal range and abilities. Sounds good with Aaron Nevill too. But then again I "Don't know much".

Yep C&E Linda has gotten older but in her prime no one could touch her for beauty and talent and she still has a great voice. Heck her band after the Stone Poneys were none other than the Eagles.
It's a good thing that good looks are not a requirement for fame. Lots of people would be out of work then.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Oh she knows all about my thing with Ashley Hey Rick what would you give to share a plane ride with Stevie?

Yeah Linda has not aged well but remember she is at least 55 now. Let's see how many pretty faces look good at that age....why just look at ****** and me. We could have easily been mistaken for Redford and Newman in our younger days right Rick!
