I can't for the life of me understand people like this. The death penalty is way too good for them. I can think of several things they really deserve that would take much longer and be more painful.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
Where is the mother of these children? Plenty of folks were aware of the living conditions of these people and apparently no one wanted to get involved. Now the town of Merlin looks like the trailer park of Oregon where degenerates proliferate. Heart breaking to think of these poor girls and what they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives. I wonder how many people would rise up and ask questions if these 3 dirtbags were to just "disappear"? I hate the idea of taxpayer money being spent to keep these vermin fed and sheltered, from what I saw, their living conditions will improve by going to prison.

Death is too good for them. Give me some duct tape, and electric drill, and some smelling salts for when they pass out from the pain. I can take care of them.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
I have mentioned it for awhile, but, after the lay off from the Oregon Youth Authority, I started working for DHS Child Welfare as a protective service officer.
It is the hardest job I've ever had.
When you get it your head to cuss govm't workers, remember there is a group that goes in to these type of cases, deals with the mess and trys to do what is right for the kids.
I have peers who go into meth homes every day. They see starving and abused children daily.
Thank God for their work,
JMHO,

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
Thanks STG,
Thank God I don't do the intake piece.
I work with the more damaged kids in residential programs. it is real similar to the children I provided service to in the OYA.
I tell you what, most intake workers are strong-willed women who can flat shoulder the burden and get the job done.
One thing I have to admit, after watching the birthing process twice  if you need a truly painful and thankless job done, most likely there is a woman who can get it done.
As big and strong as I am...
Two weeks dealing with intake and I would be a wreck.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
Wow..
I am just winding down from a great, long day fishing the Rogue. We put four nice fish in the boat and released two dark ones while creating a few "swing and a miss!!! experiences.
It was one of those special fall days on the river with two other guys that are multi-generation locals like myself. We gabbed and reminisced as only lifelong friends can.
The only really negative part of the day I can remember is our brief discussion of this tragic event and a bit of subsequent discussion about some of the low lifes in our area.
We all had similar desires as some of you, in terms of dealing with these dirt bags. All three of us have daughters of similar age and two of our daughters are or were recently attendng school in Merlin. I am the school board rep. for this area and know many of the kids and their parents well. I did not know these children nor the abusors.
Most of us know where our kids are and what they are doing, if they are not busy with us, whether at school or not.
Unfortunately, we live in an area of high poverty and, unfortunately, the dirt bags that brings with it, such as these, these ....... I don't know what to call them.. people dosen't seem right, men is certainly not fitting and low life dirt bags that deserve to die dosen't seem strong enough.
As some have said, Karhma or the prison life will get them. However, there is no price to be paid that can repair the damage to these two innocent children.
Perhaps there was indeed some merit to hangings in the town square. If nothing else, to bring closure for the victims and revenge for the masses that are so appalled by such behavior.

I'd set the electric chair on "slow roast". Barring that option, lets just make sure that they get put into general population so that a little street justice can be done.

I absolutely understand your disgust and share your views that these men need to come to justice.
Torture is not justice and is not legal in this country, no matter what the offense. From the AUP list of unacceptable posts:
"Illegal statements or promoting illegal activities."
Don't worry, their own kharma will take care of them. What goes around definitely comes back around and these clowns know its coming.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
I don't think anyone is seriously advocating the use of torture. It is wrong. However, justice demands that the perpetrators be punished. There really is no punishment adequate for some crimes that would still be moral. What you're seeing, Crabbait, is the longing, not for the actual torture of those men, but for some sort of punishment that would be adequate for the crime they have committed. The victim will suffer over and over again. The criminal will be punished only once. Crimes of this sort are pure, unadulterated evil. It is an evil that will never be reformed. It will never change. It will go on damaging lives unless it is stopped. That's all you can do really, because there truly is no earthly punishment adequate for absolute unlimited evil like that. If only there were.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
Crabbait: you're right. But they could just die of cardiac arrest couldn't they? The horned one could just call them home, right? Lightening could strike, a very small volcano could happen. Maybe some tornado could destroy a small area that only they occupy. I can dream can't I?
Happybrew: Yep.

They are a repugnant cancerous blob on society. It seems that people (mostly, and sadly, men) like this are not truly human. This more than a sexual offense, it is sexual torture and should be punished as such. This makes me feel sick.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
I beleive that the numbers between the sexes are pretty close to equal - too many men are shamed into never reporting, by actual or percieved ridicule. That's a different topic though...
As far as these... a cancer in society... no more like the flesh eating virus. The virus must be killed off. The sooner the better. Delaying only offers up the chance for more damage. Drugs (treatment) is not as effective and may cause the virus to build up an amunity/resistance to treatment over time opening the door for greater damage in the future. Rid the body of the virus swiftly and completely.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
I agree. Nothing wrong with a little medievil/primevil fantasy.
While I don't advocate that these men should be taken out and stoned by 13 year old girls, I think it would make a lot of 13 year old girls feel better and would not hurt the gene pool at all.

At the risk of beating the proverbial dead horse......... this is yet another example of why it costs us more for education.
Someone must pick up the pieces for the victims of this sort of behavior and it obviously is NOT going to be their parents.....

This makes me The only thing I can say is that in the prison system these pieces of trash will be at the bottom of the food chain. and god willing they will have done to them as what they did to others. It is a shame they don't get much time for there crime . I know how the sysytem works as I am working for it. I agree with you whole heartedly, They should bite a bullet.

This is so beyond dispicable!!!! The worst part is the poor little girls will likely be emotionally scarred for life. To have a healthy loving sexual relationship with a any man in the future is very unlikely. They will continue to
feel the pain from this long after the horrible events. It's just so tragic that this kind of thing happens.

"Sick, sick, very sick."
Have to disagree. Sick people cannot help themselves.
Stone-cold, calculating sociopaths, now there's one I could vote for. They only think it's wrong if they get caught.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
I had an interview with CPS when I was 20 years old. I would have got the job, but in the final interview I was asked if I could leave my work at work. I responded that I would want to take the kids home where I knew I could protect them and I would probably want to hunt down the beast that hurt.
I like the idea of public stonings, or a good old fashion tar and feathering. Put the animals in a cage and anyone that wants to do the stoning has to buy the rock. The bigger the rock, the more it cost. The money would then go to help the victim of the crime.
It also bothers me that our nation spends more money feeding, housing, defending, and rehabilitating the criminal than they do the victim.

Re: Sick, sick, very sick
The arresting officers should have looked more closely for the firearms each one of these guys were wielding.
I wasn't even there and I saw them......didn't you???
Had I been the officer that found Sparks in bed with the 4yr old he would be dead. I'd be on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. My statement would read. "I feared for her life and my own" " I thought that was a gun he had pointed at her".
Justice was so much swifter and much more a deterent in the 1800's!
