While trolling on the Columbia on 8/29 we dredged up a rod & reel plus diver and lure. If you describe accurately it is yours. The rightful owner has been located

Lost a Shimano Line Counter with 65# green power pro. A 9' Brown Rod (Extra Heavy) two piece. Can't remember the exact name, but can get it. It was attached to a broken fish on rod holder. Had a delta diver and a fish flash with a either a rotary salmon killer or a kripled anchovy rig. Lost it at the bouy 10 line on 8/23/09. Would pay to get it back. We figured about a $300.00 set up.

Guess I'm not alone. Friday, 8/28 rod overboard. IM7 9 foot extra heavy 2 piece with 500 Tekota line counter attached to a green delta diver and a green fishflash with a "F" initial on each. Hope you find the rightful owner.

I would be interested in knowing how/why so much gear was lost. Broken pole holder, operator error, or?? Maybe we can learn from others misfortune.

I have lost two rods now to Fish On rod holders. The first was off the transom. When a fish hit, the little rachets did not hold and the holder flattened out. The rod jettisoned out.

The second was last year. This time the rod was on the side and perpendicular to the troll. A fish hit and the Fish On broke at the pin that goes into the socket.

Fish Ons are gone. Replaced with Scotty.

I've never had a Fish-On break.
I wonder if the failures are related to rod holders that were left outside 24/7 ?
