Default Comcast/E-mail Problem

I removed Comcast Support while cleaning up my hard drive and upgraded my Norton Antivirus. Now when I start up Outlook I get this message.
Quote:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">I e-mailed Comcast but don't expect an answer any time soon. I can still get to my messages through the web, but it's a pain through Comcast.
I checked Antivirus and don't see anything changed, but I'll keep looking there too.
Any suggestions? I'd rather not re-install Support.

Delete your mail account and reinstall it. It's corrupted and won't ever work. Just start over. Good luck.

STG - I had the same problem when I "upgraded" Norton. Try turning off your email outgoing Norton check. Leave the incoming check on.

Solved my problem.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It appears to have just needed a good nights sleep. The tired old thing is working fine this morning.
