What thread should i use?

I will be tying mostly Sockeye flies that are tied on a large hook and a little bucktail. What thread would us recommedn? Waxed or Unwaxed? Size? Any help would be appreciated!

I've never tied for sockeye's before but i would think that a kevlar or GSP thread would be ideal.
a uni 3/0 thread would probably get the job done just fine though, especially if you glued your knots

I would recommend Kevlar thread.

Kevlar and/or cementing the thread on the heads will prolong the life of the fly.
