Default Shocked and Awed (by a kiss)

RE: Brittany & Madonna

Hey, at least nobody died.

Contrast that with the direction the occupant of the White House is leading our nation!

Well, I know that I think about Brittney a lot, too. Give the man a break.

Or is that not what you meant?

The problem i had with it is, i do not like madonna. "Overrated" in the dictionary, shows her picture.

Husker...did you mean "open mouthed?"

Manufactured Pop-tart Brittney Smears locks lips with the once famous, “climb the risque ladder to success” shock sleaze ~Madonna.

In an unprecidented MTV VMA presentation, the two struggling performers engaged in a public display of poorly staged controversial psuedo-drama in an effort to shine one last media light on who many believe was Madonna rather than Brittney as rumors are now circulating that Jennifer Lopez was first offered the “kiss” but declined. (Is J Lo’s publicist trying to recreate J Lo’s image as a purist? Only time will tell how americas most naive pop-fans will recieve and react to the news of the beau-dumping pop-tramps new standards and dignity via record sales tallied later this fall)

Apparently the geniuses who developed the trite skit have already been dismissed from thier MTV writing appointments and are now appealing to thier former employer shock jock Howard Stern for re-instatement as creative inturns.

While verile adult men feverishly exchange the vids and clips of the MTV moment, teen girls nationwide have begun to question thier own sexuality while Madonna and Brittney album sales skyrocket in what many believe is a direct result of those same girls looking for answers to these troubling questions within the albums lyrics.

You Bush-bashers are incredible. You somehow find a way to criticize our President by using two publicity-seeking kissing women to make your point
I think it is about time you get a life and give it up. You will have the opportunity to oust him in the next election but until then just learn to deal with it. Hey we dealt with that piece of trash called Clinton for 4 years!!!

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">And he too was bashed at every opportunity..... so what's your point?

Rush the mouth made millions bashing Clinton. Is that the problem, Rush can't capitalize on the misdeeds of Bush?

I do not recall anybody bashing clinton because to women kissed????? My point is this obsession to blast Bush for every single thing that happens under the sun is ludicrous and amounts to nothing more than whining. I really do not care if people want to bash if they have a legitimate gripe but come on, this is getting a bit ridiculous. I am surprised that no one has tried to blame the lines at Krispy Kreme on him Uh oh, now somebody probably will

Speaking for myself, I just think it silly all the hub bub about two tasteless women kissing on national TV when there are other, much more important things to expend our energy on.

One of those, in my opinion, is the rocky road our current President is leading our country down.

I don't watch TV much at all and am very careful about what my kids watch. I have little control over the massive debt being created and what I consider inappropriate way Iraq is being handled under the leadership of Bush as well as other things.

Again, to me, it just seems silly some of the things people get worked up about given the very real problems our world is facing.

I am with you on the kissing part while world's apart from you on the political views. Like I said I have no problem with people expressing their views but doing it by bringing something up that is completely unrelated to make a point is silly.

Guys... chill.

This isn't home or some other rowdy place to be unpleasant to one another. It's ifish.

You disagree, right? So what?

Row v. Wade, so by your last paragraph you're suggesting this stunt was in actuality some sort of (economic) stimulus? That angle completely escaped me. Verrrrry Interrrresting.

I wonder what Greenspan would say? ( )

BTW, my original point was - and is - that I'm always astounded at what gets some people upset. Two people kissing, yes. Human affection (even if staged) yes. Americans coming home dead and wounded at the rate of almost a dozen a day, (or other violence) nein.

Please direct your venom in the appropriate direction toward those responsible for sending American off to die on behalf of oil corporations. Thank you.

(* Disclosure statement - no offensive labeling was used nor were any political sensibilities intentionally harmed in the production of this post.)

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Gary --- Aside from all the other issues, 50,000,000 people now have a chance at living their lives in freedom. If you do not attach value to that, there is little basis for discussion.
