UV Tape
Does anyone know of a source for the UV tape that is applied to some of the RMT and ST dodgers? I want to retrofit some of my dodgers with UV tape.

Re: UV Tape
Dang, that is a good Idea, I should have thought about it before the weigh-in last weekend. Could have asked Gary....

Re: UV Tape
I have used tape from Sacramento Pro tackle. They don't have a website but they will mail you some. Only problem it is only an inch wide.
I have also picked up some 4 inch wide tape at Fisherman.s Marine from a company called Delta Tackle. Delta does have a website but the uv tape is not on it.
I have retro-fitted several dodgers, flashers and even put it on a couple lures, works great.

Re: UV Tape
I purchased some Delta Tackle UV Tape from Joe's before they closed up. Looks exactly like the tape your referring to. Like dlm mentioned it's not on their website, might try contacting them.

Re: UV Tape
Now that I think about it I think that the last time I was in the store formerly known as Sportsmans Warehouse there was a pretty good display of delta tackle prisim tapes. Has anybody looked to see if there was UV on that wall?

Alot of those tapes on that display are from Oregon Tackle, and as far as I know they don't make any with uv. I was just in there yesterday and didn't see any.

Re: UV Tape
UV is only usefull at depth; deeper than 50 feet depending on the water you are fishing. The short wave light will penetrate the water deper so when other colers turn to grey UV colors will still be visible. Reds will turn gray first; violets will turn grey last. I never asked a fish but supposidly their eyes can see in UV light where our eyes can not.
