New Silver lake thread

Hey, so has anyone seen if the blue algea is gone? I herd its not supposed to die off till the water gets to at least 50 degrees for a week.

was there last week and weekend and the water looked good. used cranks and caught all the fish in the lake.

but really used cranks thursday thru saturday and caught lots of fish. seems they liked the cranks over the plastic.

wife called tonight and said the water looks really good. heading up for the weekend after work friday thru sunday.

I fished there Sunday from about 6 to noon and got skunked...ouch! If the water looked good today I wonder what it looks like when its bad? It was like chocolate milk. Threw cranks, and most everything else in the tool box. I did get two bites, one on a jig near pilings and one on a drop shot. Anyone else do better this weekend?

just got home a bit ago and i got one last evening on a crank. it wasn't too much bigger than the crank.

other than that nothing and yes the water was looking more normal.

Oh, that sucks. I went smallie fishin sat for a couple hours. Ended up catching 8 smallies and one largie.

ya, well this weekend is more than likely my last weekend at silver til spring and the smallies will be caught plenty till it gets too cold to fish the rivers.
going to hit the cr and wily.

Done for the year? Silver picks back up again in the fall. I actually skip summer there and just fish spring and fall

well this summer certainly did blow. when abouts do you think it will pick up?

It will pick up soon. My best day at silver was a November crank and jig bite. I will start going at the end of the month, I will shoot you a pm when I do.
