Try looking into Hammerite Rust Cap. They make a Hammerite Galvanized and Aluminum Primer that is designed for youir application. I have used other products of theirs - KILZ in specific.

I used it to paint some patio chairs. All that I had to do was wash them down to get the winter dirt and stuff off of them. Than painted with KILZ. That's it.

Go down and have it Rhino lined or Line-Xed.

Default Aluminum Truck Box Woes

I have had an alumimum truck box in the back of my pickup for a couple of years. Over time everything that I carry back there has become covered with aluminum dust, rub-off, oxidation, or whatever its called. Of course, everytime I pull something out of the box I get it on my hands, clothes, wife, cats, etc. Can I just spray the inside of the box with some type of clear coat product?
