Someone has to be fishing Simtustus. I havene't been since mid May. So I'm sure any info that I add would be pure speculation. Post your results if you get a chance to fish. It's such a peaceful place, away from the crowds at LBC.

Good luck.

Its funny, I live about 12 miles from there, I have been there several times to see clients, the new resort owners are clients but I have never fished it and been on it in a boat once in 2001 to test drive the boat my dad bought. My understanding is that Gibbs minnows up around the logs (I have not been there) works for kokanee, and bows like weddingrings trolled with a worm at 10-20 feet deep. There are some dandys in there based on pictures I have seen.

I just recently got outfished by my wife over at Lake Simtustus! We camped over at Pelton Park and got a bunch of rainbows. We also did pretty well on pikeminnows, too. That evening, we roasted two of the bigger ones over a campfire, which was really good. (We put the rest of the rainbow trout in my smoker when we got back to town, and those were even better!) Here are a few pics!

If you're interested, we've got more of our Lake Simtustus pics up on my blog.
