Default Lookout Point Reservoir report

The water is way down and perhaps a little earler than the past year or two. However with a little work the fishing was still good on the 21st. Caught a number below 12 inch but the picture here is two 16", a 14" and 2 12". - Johnny

I've also wondered about that reservoir. I probably go by it a dozen times a year and never see a boat on it. See more 4-wheelers on the mud flats, then boats in the water. Also don't see it on the stocking schedule. Do see people fishing Dexter Reservoir, just down the hill.

Lookout can be a tough lake to fish. I am not sure about kokanee in there, there are some in dexter however. Lookout has a decent popluation of landlocked chinook .

It has landlock chinook? I have a old book on fishing Oregon it says it has a lot of rough fish in it but doesnt say much else. I always wondered why they havnt tried kokeanee in this lake, the book says it is one of the largest inpoundments in the state.

Its good fishing right were the north fork pours in. the water has a higher oxygen content up there. try tossing spinners or,trolling or drifting worms it has worked in the past. As usual pautzkes is a good idea too
