Default Shrub fire

I slipped up and made a political comment on the fish board, jesting (maybe?) that the "White House advance team" had started the fires near Hwy 20 ... and I got a new name!

I can't wait to see how they exploit the fire for political purposes - as a backdrop for Bush to read his lines. It makes me mad, it makes me sick -- but the neo-conservatives certainly have some brilliant propaganda artists. The best that money can buy. Talk about waggin' the dog!

I want to see it, and I can't stand to watch it.

LS,the Oregonian editoral page rips Bush, the Uncool Texan, real good today. This fund raising junket is necessary cus he'll need all the money he can get to hire spin doctors for the up coming election.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helvetica">Yup...... he's going to need the money plus he needs Oregon to win again. We will probably hear and see a lot of him in the next year and a half. It is generally good for a chuckle, anyway...

Seems the Republican leadership would start to wonder why they have not been able to get a Republican governor elected and why Gore beat Bush last time, in this state.

Can't any of them say m o d e r a t i o n ?????

Cool Texan, sorry for my use of the term uncool. It's just the fact that Mr.Bush's plan to drill for oil in the Artic Wildlife Refuge and his denile of global warming, coupled with his plan to log old growth trees in remote roadless areas are flat out UNCOOL. Remember fish can't vote, but we can.

It's a simple plan really..

No Trees no Fire. Problem solved. Why didn't Clinton think of that ?

I wonder how long before we can say goodbye to the upper Eagle creek area ? and a few other
pristine areas the Tree hungers fought hard to save ?

Dang et !
