Default Ford Explorer Parking Brake Adjustment?

Can anyone tell me how to snug up the parking brake on a 99 Explorer? I haven't taken anything off, but I can't see any sort of adjustment screw. I'd like to know I'm going into the right area before I start spinning nuts.

I need to tighten it up a bit for boat ramp action.

I think there is usually an adjuster on the cable where it connects to a splitter that runs to each side... it's not called a splitter but I don't know the correct term and it functions as a splitter so that's what I'll call it. Also make sure your rear brakes are adjusted if they are drum type... to adjust them on most vehicles you simply drive in reverse and then push on the brakes. Do this 4 or 5 times and they will adjust themselves.

Yeah, I looked for that, but there's no adjustment apparent at the splitter. I'll try the adjustment trick.

You shouldn't have to screw with the star adjusters if everything is copacetic.
It's fairly common for the E-brake lever inside the drum to break and fall off. You might want to pull off the drums and take a squint.
