I might be one of the few on this site that likes to golf once in a while, (besides fishing) I've alway's kept half an ear to how Peter Jacobsen has been doing, local boy and all.
He has alway's been a crowd fave, brought big bucks to the Portland area with his charity "Fred Meyer Challenge", which I attended once, and when I was walking by the VIP tent in the morning I overheard Peter telling the Palmers and Nickolas's that this event was about the fans. To mingle and be friendly to all us Oregonians.

A fave of mine, Brad Faxon was walking down the 13th fairway when I held a camera up and waved, wanting to catch him waving to my camera on the shot. He came over to me, grabbed the camera, handed it to my wife, put his arm around me and said " This will make a much better picture" How cool is that.
Peter hasn't won a huge amount of tournys, but he's definitely a croud favorite with his great humor.
Anyway, grats Peter on your recent win at the Greater Hartford Open. Our local boy is a US favorite. [img]graemlins/applause.gif[/img]
