Default Tualitin River Smallies

I am not a very accomplished bass fisherman, but they sure are fun. The last couple of times out on the tualitin, I have caught a couple of pretty nice ones, one over 2 lbs. On ultralite gear it was a blast. does anyone know why the bite has picked up over the last few weeks. Is it because it is post spawn and they are hungry again? Also I just always drift a worm, but what is another good way to catch them on lite gear.

Fall is coming...
Try regular spinners they have also produced well for me along with senkos and smallish poppers

Bait's great if you are keeping them, but risky if you are releasing them.
Rubber Worms (Senko's especially) area favorite. Almost any rubber worm/ lizard either Jigged or Drop Shot work well. Small to medium craink baits and spinner (I like Panther Martines) also work very well. Top water are fun, but not as productive.

The smallies have to put on the feed bag during the fall so they can put on some fat for the winter.
Fall is not here yet but it is coming.

I have alot of luck with big wooly buggers and stickle back patterns on a fly rod in that creek. As for bait I like to toss kicking cray fish.

I used to also throw live crawfish but now they have to be dead, so watch the regs. FYI
