Re: Where's the Fuel Filter on 115 FICHT ? OK ... so my FICHT is labled as a '99 but actually it's 2000 model ... huh

... double checked the model # and serial number as well as the "engine family" # - she's a 2000 (Picture 1)
So here's what it all looks like (Picture 2)
Problem that no one on other sites has address (Picture 3)
There is an attatchment bolted on that is flush with the bottom of the filter. No room to get a wrench behind it nor any room to drop the filter down without removing it. More over, the filter and this attachment set down below the mid-covering level so it would appear I have to remove it to get at this thing.
There is a electrical lead - appears to reach over to a ground on other side but can't figure out what it's for (Picture 4)
You will note that the filter has all these "pat pending #" on it ... give credence that the last time this was replaced was 2002 or 2003 when Al at Hayden Island did it for me. So much for a certain shop in or near Lake Oswego that claimed to have done it for me two years ago.
Any thoughts ... I appreciate everyone's comments to date. Does your have this attatchment that is underneath the filter ???
Good thought about changing the oil in line fuel filter, I will do that.
Last picture (5) is my Honda kicker ... fuel in-line filter right there ... any wonder why they are such a great motor to own.
