I agree. Its just a donut. Besides, donuts will only make you fat and heart-attack prone....except on Friday's when work has them laying out.
I'm with you though...I'd wait 3 minutes for a donut, but would not camp out like some people did.

Have some dignity man! Delete your post quickly!
You know, sometimes I'll watch CNN and I'll see these other people in far away countries doing something wacky and I'll laugh at them and thier strange behavior. It's seems so backwards and 3rd world so to speak, and then I see Americans waiting in line the day before a donut shop opens up for business and think "for s#*%s sake, we're as ridiculous as they are!".

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
I think the whole Krisy Kream thing is so ridiculous I refuse to eat just one.
I do not like bread dipped in grease, I do not eat donuts, give me peace.
I will not stand in line. Would not, could not, not even to avoid a fine.
I once heard about a dork who waited for a week, I sure miss disagreeing with the Fishing Geek.
I will not, can not conform to this, being able to see my toes I would certainly miss.
I will not even have a taste. Would not, could not, not even if they were going to waste.
I don't care if how fresh they are, if you have to stand in line, they are tooooo far.

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
I have actually tried them....
They are different from other doughnuts. When hot, they melt in your mouth. As a diabetic, I can only sample things like this on the rare ocassion.
I tried it hot off the line and one that had cooled. Big difference. Cool they are still good doughnuts. Hot ~ if I wasn't a diabetic, I would camp out by the one in Tanasbourne that's about to open.
Give it a couple months the newness will wear off and you can just walk in an d buy them.
make sure to ask for them fresh off the line, so you will get them as hot as possible.

Sorry, they are just not that great. I would not even stand in line 5 minutes for them.

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
Seeing that I too have waited in line (25 min) for some Krispy Kremes, I can say that not all doughnuts are the same. Would you rather buy your fishing gear at Sportsmans wherehouse or K-mart. Would you use a Zebco rod or a Ugly Stick. Or use Sceintific anglers fly rod instead of a Orvis. Yes it is just a doughnut, but you can watch the thing from the begining. They come off the belt and you eat the thing and it is quite amazing, melt in your mouth does it no justice. It's like those kids in Willy Wonka and the chocolate Factory. If I had the $ I would open one of those babies. And if you are wondering, no I'm not a COP.

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
I don't think you're an idiot. I don't eat donuts very often because I love them so much I can't stop but I've had they warm and fresh several times in Vegas and agree they are the best I've ever had.

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
A radio show was saying that if you are interested in opening your own KK doughnut place... you had better have $3M in assets before coming to the table or they won't even discuss the possibility! Not that you need $3M to open one. You just need to prove you are good at business.

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
For all you KK-holics, you now can fax in an order and have them delivered. My office ordered 9 dozen on Monday and just recieved them today.
And of course they charge XX amount of dollars for the delivery.
I am not sure if can post their fax number on Ifish? If I can I will post it!

Re: Just spent 1hr 15min in line for donuts!...
Down here in Phoenix, we have quite a few Krispy Kreams around and they are always packed. Maybe not lines like up there but a five to ten minute wait is pretty normal. It is also cool to watch them come off the conveyor and eat them hot. There isnt a word to describe the way they taste when they are hot and oh man... I need me a doughnut fix...
They are hands down the best doughnut you will ever eat. Trust me... The writing is on the wall and they are that good. However, I still wouldnt wait that long for a doughnut... Thats valuble fishing time wasted right there.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Totally agree. I cant believe the hype that gets to people. Reminds me of the Beanie baby thing where you had moms tackling each other over a stinkin doll. What, are they laced with viagra or something?

Was the cop really directing traffic or just using his powers to cut in line??

But... a fool who loves doughnuts, is greatly comforted by KK doughnuts after parting with his money.
