Finally back to work
I finally landed a decent job after goofing around for 8 months. Utilities oriented. About the closest I can get to my chosen field after a mass layoff from Telecomm almost two years ago.
Hope my luck rubs off on those still lookin...even if that luck of mine is just starting to make a slight turnaround. There IS no full recovery for the bad luck of the last 8 months..this might help tho.

Re: Finally back to work
Thanks, you chevy stealin unemployed fishing, ummmm...person
Novemba aye? What the........
Might give it a looksee if you actually want to find something by then..job market isnt exactly rolling out any welcome mats these days. Not that there isnt any jobs...but theres a million people applying for them..I was 1 of around 200 who took a stab at the one I started today.
Working out great so far...nice truck, top-of-the-line equipment, and no shortage of resources to complete my projects.
Could be a keeper.
Hog...I read your post in my sisters personal ad...sure, lets fish...drop a line when youve got an open seat Ill join you for chrome or gators...would have to be a Sunday now with the new job though. If the boats adequate, and you appear sane, Ill book again with my sister joining us.
(why do I suddenly feel like I am selling my sister?.."Pay me in FISH man"....oh...I AM!)

Re: Finally back to work
Congrats on the new position. It is tough out there.
I have been out of work for 16 months. Things may be picking up. Had my second interview with a company today. Both interviews have gone really well. Would not be suprised to see a job offer on this one. Don't know what it will be like to have a regular paycheck again. Sure will cut into the fishing time though.

Re: Finally back to work
Guess I didn't have to wait long for the job offer. Just got the call tonight. Back to work on Monday.

WTG shooter!

I wasnt too concerned about work cutting into fishing time, but the first thing to cross my mind was missing those hi-noon naps!

Re: Finally back to work
Good for you.
I have been looking for 7 months after being laid off. I have friends that have been out of work for a year.
It's rough out there.

Re: Finally back to work
Waiting anxiously for the "the call" today.
1 year and 1 week of unemployment....we'll see.
