Top 10 reasons to dislike CALI-DRIVERS:

1. They think Oregon is California, sorry no speed zones over 65 mph here.
2. They think a rolling stop is ok; tell that to my front fender.
3. They use bumpers in a literal manner, thanks for the rearend job buddy!
4. No manners when it comes to parking, if your both waiting for a spot, to them, MAY THE FASTEST STRONGEST CAR WIN!
5. They like to hide out, in your blind spots.
6. They thing that 10 feet between cars is UNACCEPTABLE, lets see you fit into that spot wise-guy.
7. They believe enjoying "the drive is out of line"...No this isnt L.A. we have a view.
8. They flip you off BEFORE you pull over to let them by, AND on their way past you.
9. We use trash cans here, so please dont litter.
10. Its not a race to beat the RED light

Your previous post about Oregon Drivers said you were from San Diego, but none the less, I think Oregonians do not oppose Californians, or other people from out of state, but they do oppose people coming to Oregon and then Dissing the state, or trying to change policies to be like "their old" state. Oregon is a unique place, the people are different, the lifestyles are different, and the driving is different. Everyone can and should enjoy Oregon, even on the roadways. Maybe youll see me as you pass me, I get passed by a lot of Cali-drivers, who are hauling tail for the border.

If we enlarge I-5 to more lanes.....we might as well call it Orifornia and break out the smog detectors, limit power consumption, and sell property by the square inch.

They-
1.Tailgate
2.Do "U" turns anywhere they please.
3.Drive too fast.
4.Weave in and out of traffic
5.Flash their lights at you if they think you aren't going fast enough and you are ahead of them
I think the huge influx of Californians have taken away alot of the ambience we had here in Oregon...can you say urban sprawl?

When I am in California I love to drive there, it is fast and you know what the other drivers are going to do..go fast. When in Oregon I have to wonder if the driver in front of me can merge, go over a hill without slowing down (yes the road is still on the other side) or go around a corner with out slowing down. We drive like 80 yr. old's up here minus the plowing through groups of people. The worst drive I have to make is to Salem or Eugene, there is no consistancy in the way people drive. You either have the guys going 90 who have the worst road rage I have ever seen or you have the guy going right at the speed limit that thinks everyone drives too fast. It is no wonder there are so many wrecks on that strecth of road. Just drive fast... let the slow be eaten by time. :grin:

So you guys think you've seen a "native Californian", they are pretty rare. You seem to be describing east coast transplants.

A car with an Ore. or WA. plate these days is likely a Californian in disguise.

I run Hwy 97 3 times a week, and there's LOTS of Californians on that there road. I have the opposite problem- most of them seem to be under the impression that we actually enforce the 55mph speed limit. Especially the "Geritol Gypsies" in their motor homes and travel trailers.
Every time I pass somebody it seems to be a CA plate. :whazzup:

Worst thing is they are up here!!!
