Online basics 101

It is questions such as these that sometimes I do not have the time to answer.
I would love it if someone would write a tutorial for beginners on the web, on how to do some of the basics.

Can someone help this nice man?

How do I respond to a classified add? What is a UBB?
What is "your(mine)url"
I am real new to computers and have no idea what these terms mean would you kinda coach me through the process?

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of good stuff already out there for "Web basics" - I'll try to Google up some URLs after I get home and have a HMB (hoppy malt beverage)

For the stuff more specific to ifish ... I think we could pitch in.

"How do I respond to a classified ad?"

Most classified ads will include contact information, usually a phone number or an e-mail address. You can always hit "reply" and post a response that way. The drawbacks are that your response is public, and the person who posted the ad might not check for responses very frequently.

What is a "URL"
