Default Free School Lockers

Where I work, we are in the process of replacing school lockers at Neil Armstrong MS in Forest Grove.

We are tearing out about 600 frames of 1 tier lockers. These lockers are headed to the dump soon. Our demolition subcontractor will set about 100 of the lockers outside the school tomorrow (friday). Currently the lockers are removed from the wall and stored inside the school. If you want some lockers for your garage (storing boots, rain gear etc...) all you have to do is go haul them off.

I believe these lockers are 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep for each frame. They are 6 feet tall. They are typically built in runs of 4 or 5 lockers long.

I have not seen these lockers, but usually the lockers we replace work well for home garage storage.

Post any questions and I will try to answer as best I can, or just go get yourself some FREE lockers if you want. When the 100 are gone he will set some more outside.

Do yo know what time in the AM are they going to sit them out and how long they are going to be there? I would love to have a bank of them.

Thanks in advance,

BlueWater.

Bluewater, I am not the project manager on this project so I am on the outside of knowing what is going on.

I do know the crew is assembling the new lockers at the district warehouse and will be hauling them over as they get them built, and are not always over at the school.

I was talking to the project manager this afternoon and he told me he found a scrap metal recycler who was gonna be onsite tomorrow to start hauling lockers off for scrap :depressed:

He instructed the scrap guys to start with the lockers on the inside of the building knowing I was trying to make some ifisher happy by having the subcontractor set some outside so guys can access them. I would guess if they are not outside you could go in the school and get a bank or 2 or 3 or.... as long as it is not locked up. Which can be a problem in the summer months. I know the crew working on site and they have never got the early worm, so I wouldnt guess it would be early.

I will try and call them in the morning and post a time, if I can get him to answer his cell phone
