Default Quick stop at Brownlee/Powder River

I had a chance to spend a day in my favorite part of the world this past week. A HOT HOT day on the Snake but practically had the place to myself. Lots of Crappie,I found some nice 10"+ size schools out on the main Snake. Fish were heavier than back in June so fall is shaping up nicely for some decent slabs!
I'm posting a pic of one of the Catfish I caught on a crank bait. Pretty fun but they destroy your hooks! I tossed everything back today as I just didn't want to clean fish. Bass were OK, averaged 1.5lbs or so. About what I expect for this time of year.
I had some nice surface plug action until a T-storm blew me off around 7 PM.
A word about the boat launch at Hewiitt Park, only usable ramp is the one at the far end and I barely was able to launch. My vehicles tailpipe is pretty low and I had to put it underwater briefly to float my boat.
Fuel is available Tues-Sat 8-5
A BIG THANK YOU to the repair shop across from the Richland Store. He loaned me a charger as I left my main switch on when I stored the boat back in June, THANKS!
Posting a few of the Snake too.

This spot never fails to produce

The hills are not so green anymore but what an awesome day, NO WIND!
