I have water coming into the bilge area, It is coming thru the weep hole in the case. After reading it appears there could be a foriegn body inthe seal or a worn out seal. Does anybody have any suggestions on a person or a shop to have it looked at. pm's welcome

This condition usually indicates seal gone bad behind thrust bearing you may get lucky by blowing compressed air into weep hole to dislodge any debris but if this doesnt help be prepared to pull engine and service thrust bearing and seal .Dont ask how I know but had to do it myself recently.Call the folks at American Turbine they are easy to talk to and very helpful.

Where is Shaw? I bet the guys at Maxxum marine could work it out...and yes... Seal is probably shot...but if your going in that far... you do have to pull the motor.. so might as well get an entire rebuild kit including bearings.

Shaw is about 8 miles East of Salem, Maxxum Marine It does not show in the Salem Keizer Phone book wear are they located
