Work for an old-timer???
My father was recently laid-off. The company won't likely be bringing him, or anyone, back. He's a 58-year-old, slightly disabled, Vietnam Vet. He's a very reliable, hard-working man. He is a high school graduate. He worked for a brass plating company until early this year. Before that, he worked for Centennial Flour Mills in downtown PDX. He is drug and alcohol free.
He lives a pretty simple life and doesn't need a lot of money. He does need to work. This is a tough time to be seeking employment, and he's had a lot of doors shut in his face.
Of course I'm biased, but he is a good man, and he deserves a shot. I can see he's hurt that he's had so much trouble finding work. I want to do what I can for him... So, if you have any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate your input.
Thank you,
Jim
