Default How Hot Was It? ... It was so hot ...

We all have different threshholds for heat tolerance. Depending on our activities and humidity levels, our own comfort level can change markedly. So, recognizing there are factors beyond those listed in this poll, when the temperature is on the rise - what temperature on a typical day where you live do you start changing your plans because it's going to be TOO HOT?

I know that yesterday at about 1:30 my plans to stack the wood I just split changed. Grabbed my daughter and headed to Paulina to spend the rest of the afternoon cooling off in the middle of the lake fishing. I don't know how hot exactly it was, but it was at least stinkinhot degrees F.

I worked for many  ...make that too many years in an aluminum foundry. The temps in the summer were as high as 120 degrees and we had to wear heavy clothing to protect ourselves from hot castings Every year I absolutely dreaded summer time Can you say heat rash? I have scars on my arms and hands from close contact with hot castings :depressed:
My hat is off to the guys who work in steel mills, lumber mills and any other job where the work enviorment is hot

I hear ya Stew. Swing shift in a foundry is especially nasty. :depressed:
Until 3 years ago I worked office jobs and never gave a second thought to the weather. Now I work outside, and I can't wear shorts, and if it's asphalt season it's long sleeves, insulated gloves, hard hats and face shields. Major bummer, and I hate my farmer's tan.
I feel bad for the traffic flaggers and paving crews out there right now. :depressed:
