Last Monday went out crabbing out of Hammond with my wife and was using an old crab ring my father made for me. I must not have had enough rope or the current changed and took my ring because we couldn't find it. Usually I wouldn't think much but to go buy another ring but my dad had hand painted the float, and it became more valuable to me after he passed away. It was a yellow float with "Big E" painted on.
If anyone finds it I would be happy to offer a reward.
I guess I shouldn't use gear that has a high chance of getting taken out by the current there, but maybe someone will find it.
