Default Long Beach Washington Fireworks display

Spent the weekend with all of my family at the cabin. Friday night went down to Long Beach fireworks display. WOW!!!!! Now I went two years ago but it was nothing like this.

Beautiful day and weather was awesome. Looking up and down the beach there were fireworks every millasecond! AS far as you could see the spectical was unmatched by anything else I had every witnessed.

The actual Long Beach show was about 25 minutes long. But the private show continued from dusk well past the time we actually left the area. Must have been 20000 people down there this weekend.

Had a blast just watching folks get stuck in the sand and entreprenuers charging $20 a pop to pull them out. That was almost as entertaining.

Now Fort Vancouver fireworks is cool but this just takes the cake as far as I am concerned.

Also Ilwaco put on a nice little display the following night over the harbor. It lasted about 20 minutes and was cool to watch from our boat slip. Hope they do it again next year.

just a great 4ht this year. I ate way to much this week end and my pants are a little snug. Diet time I guess.

I must agree! What a night. The fireworks lasted forever.. my kids finally asked to go to bed (back of the rig with sleeping bags) and I sat on the beach and watched them for well over an hour after they crashed.

When the smoke cleared, you had more stars than you could ever count and the moon was just wonderful as it set on the sea.

I won't talk about the hangover I had on Saturday tho... ouch!

Great little report for the 4th. Who would have thunk that LongBeach would do it up so good. Maybe next year I will bring the wife and join eveyrone on the beach. Now theres a site to continplate, but I promise to keep all my cloths on. Moon or no Moon.

I also had a great 4th staying home and helping a friend in need, move his daughter back from Eugene. Somehow she had to work the fourth so it was left to dad. There will be a pay back as she works at Langdon Farms Golf Course and she now owes us big time. Overall it was a good weekend and staying home was a first in a long time. Sorta special that way too. I did go out Saturday for a while.
