Default Worth fixing ?

Question for the rod build guys. Had to try out the new JX 6/3 this weekend for tuna (loved it !!). Bought a Lami L-870C to mount it on,which did real well, but did pop the rings off 2 of the guides. Would it be worth having better guides put on this rod, or should I just write it off and spend the money to give the Avet a higher quality stick ? Thanks in advance, Cliff.

If you like the action of the rod, it will be worthwhile to change out the guides that's more suited for your style of fishing.
