Default Lube for Steering linkage on jet boat??

This year left me to do my own annual maintenance on the lubing of the boat since North River closed. Saving the money was nice as well as just getting to know the little details of boat and motor. The boat is N/R Commander w/ 5.7 and Hamilton pump..

My question is, what grease / lube do you use on the following items.. The reason I'm asking is two reputable boat dealers / shops told me conflicting grease to use.

#1.) The two zerc fittings on the sterring linkage... Lithium or Yamalube.

#2.) LIthium or YAmalube on the Jet zerc?

Last, when cold outside the throttle tends to stick when dumping the bucket from reverse to forward? Today it is fine, yet it is warm outside. I use the ZEP on the linkage outside the boat, any other areas I am missing?

Tight lines,

I have a 2008 Trapper w/ a 5.7L V8. I use a marine grade EP grease.

Tight lines,
It really all depends on the manufacturers recommendations ...
You would probably be safe with high pressure lithium for the jet ...

Steering ... a good grade marine grease ...

And if you want that cable to be free in all temps use some Dry Slide
down the cable (this will probably require your unbolting the lever
control to allow getting it down the cable housing)

Thanks Guys!

I caught-up with Hamilton Pumps in Woodinville today and they recommend Chevron Dura'lith EP (Extreme Pressure). Advised 1-2 pumps every 20-25 hours.

Thanks for the help!
