Default Merwin/Yale in the am?

Thinking about heading up early Sat., not sure which one yet as I'll have my son. Anyone else going to be out there?

Not able to head up until early Monday, but I'd appreciate any info you gain from your trip. I'm an aspiring kokanee fishermen. Been out twice this year and caught "1"!

I think I'm learning each time I go out but it is a bit frustrating!

Good luck to you. Believe me my experience is not standard plenty of people keep limiting their boats on a daily basis from what I've heard.

Can't make either, but where are planing to launch? Last Sat Yale Park's docks were out of the water, Saddle Dam has a better ramp and dock. A little farther walk to the ramp from the parking lot than Yale Park, but worth it.

Metered a lot of fish along the south side straight out from the dam. You will see everone trolling the same area, and that area produced my biggest ever Yale kokes. Fished 40'-60' down in water 100-150 deep, but beware of submerged trees. Some of those trees came up to 50' and I hung up my DR ball twice in different places, luckily I backed up immediately and freed it both times. If you troll that area, also watch out for the area past the bridge as the bottom comes up real fast in a couple of places. I 've waypointed those areas and now keep away.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to either launch at Crescep or Saddle Dam.I've never fished Yale down that way, always out in front of the park so your info. was really helpfull. I just thought that Yale would be better with my younger son. Thanks again.

I will be at Merwin in the AM around 7:00 and will most likely stay all day to play with the Family.

Good luck ET

Fished Friday AM with my daughter and Grandson. Didn't see your boat, or I would have said "hi".
