Default Windshield Wiper Electrical help needed

I am looking for a Auto Electric Shop that can help me with an electrical problem with my windshield wiper. (Once it works for 10 or more minutes, it will not turn off even when switch is turned off. Eventually it does stop on its own.)

I'm sure the problem is in the switch, I just can't locate it. I live on the west side of Portland, closer to Beaverton and would like input from people who have had positive experience with an electrical shop.

I can't help you with recomending a repair place, but I would think twice about being sure the problem is in the switch ---
Most wiper motors have a part in them that keeps the motor running until the wiper blade gets to the 'parked' position after you turn off the switch. This keeps the wiper blade from stopping in the middle of the windshield.
If this is what yours does when it works properly, I would look at the wiper motor being broken inside and not sensing that it has gotten to the 'park' position so it keeps running.

It's probably not worth fixing, so just get a new wiper motor and be done with it.

I hope you haven't bought a motor yet. what you need to do is follow the wires to the fuse box and dont just look at them grab the terminal and unplug it and plug it back in to make sure its a tight fit at the fuse panel, here you probably fixed the problem. I had to crimp my connection to fix it for the same problem. this was on my alumaweld.

My old boat was something a little different. I had to pull the wiper motor and bench tested it, what i found was were they rivoted the two wiper motor body halves together is also where they put the black ground wire (behind one of the rivots) I soldered it and problem solved. that was a rogue marine boat

I bought both my boats brand new and both had wiper problems go figure.

I am an automotive electrician and own my own shop.

I am a former rigger for NR and I live in the Beaverton area. I could come by and look at it life you'd like.
