Default Umpqua smallies, from Wood to Osprey

Well, my wife and kids went to visit her family for a couple of weeks, so I have plenty of time to go smallmouth fishing. I am thinking of a drift on my DB from James Wood to Osprey on the Umpqua this weekend (8/1 and 8/2). So if you live near/in Roseburg, familiar with this drift and and avid bass fisherman, PM me, we'll go fishing.

P.S, You need to have a sense of adventure as well because I am not an experience oars man.

I just made that float on Saturday July 25th. it was my frist time taking my Pontoon down any river and i had a blast! The fishing was non-stop action and what few rapids there were, my pontoon handled with ease. The last rapid before Osprey i chose to go the easier route and hung up on rock after rock, needless to say it's shallow so go to the right and through the chute.

Purple worms seemed to out produce any other color that day. We have a small floatilla of boats (4 pontoons, 1 DB, and a Raft) Couldnt keep the fish off our hooks!

Good luck and have fun! Hopefully it's cooler for you than it was for us.
