Yes...I've had a pretty good sized one removed from my back about 35 years ago. No recurrence

I think I've had a couple of those pulled off me. Not sure that was the right name.

I thought you were going to ask if that was a fly on the lipoma beer.

I think there is a club you can join.
My hubby also had one removed off of his back several years ago. It has never returned. The worse part was the very flat huge bandage the doctor used to cover it. I had to remove it a few days later and it took off EVERY hair known in an area about 6 x 8.

Yep, they are actualy pretty common, and generally harmless. I have had a couple removed. Easy out-patient procedure.

I've had a small one on my shin for years. The doctor was unconcerned. It's just sat there, the same size, for about 15 years now.

Thanks for the replies - I haven't been on the computer much lately.

I'm glad to hear you folks that have had them removed haven't had them grow back. I only have one, on the outside of my shoulder. My Dr. says they sometimes form where you've had trauma, and my torn rotator cuff may be the instigator of my tumor. He also says it itsn't necessary to remove it, but if I can get the insurance to pay for it I think I'll have it done. My understanding is if it isn't causing you any physical problems, most insurance companies consider it cosmetic surgery and won't cover it. I'll have to check with my company and see what they say.

Thanks again!
