Applegate River

Standard Steelhead gear is good and a lot of people throw Lil Cleo's.

Cantrall Buckley Park is near Ruch and gives decent access. Access is a problem on the Applegate as much of it is private and posted.

The river is a bit high but the color is great, I just drove across it.....

It's the right time of year. I don't know if it's fishing right now or not. I have been seriously laid up starting Wednesday from a serious case of food poisoning. I barely made it to urgent care. They called an ambulance and took me to the hospital. I'm fine now...but don't eat the ribs!

Anyone out there with any experience on this river? I'm heading to the Ashland area for a few days and I'm hoping to wet a line. I was thinking of the area around Ruch. Does anybody have any general tips on spots and best gear? Appreciated!
