Poll; How many trips per year do you make to fish

Just curious how many trips per year the average Ifisher makes to go fishing. Thought this might be kinda fun to see the results of. I know for me 20 to 30 trips is a big year. I made less than 10 trips this year, actually 5 if I am counting right.

Some months are less others are more but on average I would say once or twice a week. It may not add up to quite that much. Finances permitting of course. I will know for sure this time next year as Im finally gong to keep a log of all my fishing events.

I can never get enought trips onto the water. I try to get out once a week for my "attitude adjustment." In reality, I am probably out there once every other week, on average.

So I got 120 or so days in 2003, but that is somewhat misleading as I live on a floating home and can (and frequently do) go fishing off my front porch...

When I was in my 20's and 30's I would go anytime, anywhere at the drop of a hat. Since I am older now and retired from working I pick and choose a little more. I would guess I was out 30 to 40 days last year....will try for a few more in 2004.

in my 20's and early 30's, I'd say 50-75 times a year, but less as I get older. The times I do are more rewarding now though, I appreciate them more.
I have a 5 month old who put a dent in last falls fishing, but what a great reason to fish a little less. He'll be old enough to help dad reel in fish before I know it anyway. My wife is very supportive of my love of fishing and hunting, so when I get out now it's always a blessing and I look forward to it. I still live and breath fishing every day though, so that's should count too. :grin:

When I was working my fishing days were limited because of travel and shift changes. Now that I'm retired I fish hard until my better half threatens to throw me out,then I take a couple days off.

Greenbuttskunk...well said. Myself Im 33, and was married this year for the first time. Up until then it was all about me spending time in the outdoors. Now with a little son, and wife it's about us. The time I do get out I savor and enjoy much more!!

I get out about 2-3 times a week. I'm pretty lucky though. I work all sorts of goofy shifts, so I'll get up early if I work late and go out in the morning before work, or I'll go as soon as I get off work in the afternoon sometimes, and ofcourse my days off are spent playing with the feeshes.

I only fished about 10 to 15 times last year. Movinig into a new home and many things to do to get it up to par limited my outings. That's all going change after March 19th of this year. Retirement has finally arrived and my home will be done.
