Default Track mount pole holder

I recently bought an 18' 1998 Intruder. I love the boat so far but one of the things I need to add are additional pole holders (it only came with 2) so I was kind of thinking about the track mounted type. I think I've seen them in some of the guide boats. So far the only thing I can find is Traxtech at about $160 for a six foot section and I was originaly thinking about a six footer in each side but not for 320+ bucks.

Anybody seen any thing cheaper?

Check out Berts custom tackle. Most prefer it over the trax tek. http://www.teclausa.com/bert/index.html

Extreme Marine in Scappoose distributes the Mac Trac system -- a UHMW type plastic so no corrosion issues.

Macatrac is an excellent product!

I added the 4' section across the back of my jet boat and have (2), sometimes (3) rod holders in it as well as a rocket launcher style rod holder that sits apposite my kicker motor!

If you want a picture let me know.

I built a track with a couple of drift boat slider brackets, a piece of aluminum bar stock, and some drift boat rubber rub rail. I offset the bar stock with a couple of stainless nuts and a couple of countersunk screws and it worked flawlessly. Total cost was about $50.00 in parts and a bit of field engineering.
