So the esteemed coach of the University of Washington's storied footbal program has decided it is OK to bet on the NCAA basketball tournament.

Wow, UW being Washingtons premier institute of higher education, one might think that the coach would have access to the newspaper where he might read, if he is able, of the sad story of Pete Rose. Oh well, it looks like he is going to have plenty of time to adjust the knot in his sweater sleeves and read up on what happens when you break the rules on gambling.

Buck up, Huskies. Its not all bad news. I hear that the best college coach in Washington is available for hire. Since he decided to sow all his wild oats in one night in the middle of the bible belt before he had signed his employment contract with his new school, he obviously meets the intelligence requirements to coach in Washington.

It is going to be a very good year for OSU football. :grin:

I dont really see a problem with a football coach betting on basketball. The Pete Rose comparison is pretty weak though...he bet on/against his own team!

I'll try not to pile on. I don't like Ricky Sweatervest. Facts are he did it and it's against NCAA rules. Done and done. We'll see what else surfaces a few years after he leaves. Stuff popped up at Colorado too. More coming, just wait.
