Default Willy Salem area

I tried the Independence area on Saturday, then closer to Salem on Sunday and Tuesday. Overall, the fishing was slow for bass, with a decent fish here and there but no real numbers. I was using plastics and a craw crank. I saw some other guys fishing, too, and it was about the same for them. I did catch a lot of pikeminnows, though. I'm wondering if one reason the bass fishing was off is that the pikeminnows were getting to my crankbait first.

No, I didn't bonk them. Looks like some other guys were, though, since there were a lot of dead ones floating in the river.
