With the hot weather I figured I would fill up the plastic kiddie pool for my boys today. Before I could even get the hose on, my 13 month old lab had laid claim to the pool.
So far the the pool has been "operational" for about half an hour, and the boys have yet to be able to enjoy taking a dip. The dog jumps out to run a couple 'scootin' laps around the yard and the boys seize their chance, only to have her make a line for the pool as soon as their in.
Their only weapon is a squirt gun that, unfortunately is not much of a deterrant for the dog. She thinks it is some kind of projectile drinking fountain.
